MSRTC Makes Mobility Cards Mandatory For Concession Travel From Sept 1

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced that senior citizens and women passengers who avail of government travel concessions must use National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) to receive concession tickets starting September 1.
Under the new mandate, eligible passengers travelling on MSRTC buses will be required to carry and use their NCMC to secure their discounted fares.
The state transport authority has appealed to all eligible commuters to carry their mobility cards while boarding and travelling on its bus network. In addition to carrying the cards, passengers will also be required to top up their NCMCs with the necessary amount to complete their ticket transactions.
The registration and distribution process for the NCMCs for women passengers and senior citizens is currently underway.
