Panvel Officials Hold All Party Meeting To Review Electoral Roll Revision

Election authorities held an all-party meeting on Tuesday at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium in the Panvel Assembly constituency to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The meeting aimed to coordinate the revision process across the constituency's 574 polling stations with political party representatives and local officials.

The meeting was attended by Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Officer Pawan Chandak, alongside Assistant Electoral Registration Officers Minal Bhamare, Nanasaheb Kamathe, Ramesh Chavan, and Sambhaji Shelar. Deputy Commissioner Ravikiran Ghodke, municipal and revenue officials, corporators, and representatives of various political parties were also present.

Administration officials stated that the revision exercise in the 188 Panvel Assembly constituency is being carried out under the guidance of Additional District Electoral Registration Officer and Panvel Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Chitale.

According to the administration, political parties have appointed Booth Level Agents for each of the 574 polling stations to assist with the revision process. During the meeting, Chandak urged the political parties to submit the contact numbers of their appointed Booth Level Agents to facilitate smoother coordination. He also briefed the attendees on the Special Intensive Revision programme framework, agent responsibilities, and implementation measures.

Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Sambhaji Shelar delivered a presentation explaining the objectives and procedures of the revision exercise. Officials advised citizens to verify their own and their family members' electoral details using the ECINet mobile application or the voters.eci.gov.in portal.

The revision drive is designed to make the electoral rolls more accurate, updated, and transparent. Residents have been urged to cooperate with Booth Level Officers in filling Enumeration Forms and, where possible, submit self-enumeration forms online. To assist the public, special enrolment camps will be organised at polling stations across the Panvel Assembly constituency on July 5, where citizens can complete and submit their Enumeration Forms with assistance from election officials.
