Police arrest airport cargo worker Roshan Suvarna for fatal Mumbai train stabbing

The Mumbai Police have arrested an airport cargo worker in Panvel for allegedly stabbing and murdering a 21-year-old passenger on a suburban local train. The arrest of the suspect, identified as Roshan Suvarna, followed a fatal dispute over keeping a coach door closed during heavy rain.

According to authorities, the incident took place on Mumbai's suburban railway network. An argument quickly escalated into violence when passengers clashed over the train door. During the dispute, the 21-year-old victim was stabbed and killed.

Following the stabbing, the Mumbai Police launched an investigation to track down the suspect. Investigators traced Suvarna, who works as an airport cargo worker, to Panvel, where he was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody.

The violent clash has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding commuter safety and security on the city's busy public transit system. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal argument.
