Reactor Explosion at Boisar-Tarapur MIDC Injures at Least Two Workers

A powerful reactor explosion rocked a factory in the Boisar-Tarapur MIDC area in Palghar district on Monday morning, leaving at least two workers seriously injured and triggering widespread panic among nearby residents.
The blast occurred at around 11 am at an industrial unit within the Boisar-Tarapur industrial belt. The impact of the explosion was so severe that loud sounds and tremors were reportedly felt up to nearly two kilometres away from the site.
Following the explosion, thick plumes of black smoke were seen rising high into the sky from the industrial premises. The fire and dense smoke created immediate concerns regarding the safety of staff present inside the premises and the possibility of additional individuals being trapped or injured.
Preliminary reports indicate that at least two workers sustained serious injuries due to the blast. Both victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Official confirmation regarding the total number of casualties, the full extent of damage, and the condition of all injured individuals is awaited.
