Rohit Pawar Demands Halt to Maharashtra Drug Inspector Recruitment Over Alleged Paper Leak

Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) MLA Rohit Pawar demanded an immediate halt on Monday to the recruitment of 154 drug inspectors in Maharashtra, alleging that the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) screening test paper was leaked online prior to the examination. The leader presented his demands during meetings with state officials in Mumbai.

According to Pawar, questions from the MPSC screening test had circulated on WhatsApp two days before the examination took place. He stated that the leaked material matched more than 90 per cent of the questions that appeared on the actual paper administered to candidates.

Seeking immediate official intervention, Pawar met with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe and handed over a formal letter. The communication formally requested a complete freeze on the recruitment process for the 154 drug inspector posts while the matter is addressed.

Following his submission to the FDA Commissioner, the NCP-SP legislator approached MPSC Chairman Vivek Bhimanwar. Pawar presented the MPSC Chairman with what he described as digital evidence establishing that the screening test paper had been leaked on social media prior to the exam.

The recruitment drive was intended to fill 154 drug inspector positions across Maharashtra. Pawar has urged both the FDA and the MPSC leadership to halt all further steps in the selection process following the submission of the digital evidence.
