School Principal in Hingoli Suspended Over Allegations of Alcohol Use on Campus

The principal of a government school in Limbala Makta in Maharashtra's Hingoli district was suspended on Tuesday following allegations of consuming alcohol on the campus premises. The disciplinary action was initiated after Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke visited the village as part of the 'Improve Schools Campaign' and alerted administrative authorities.
During his visit to Limbala Makta, several local villagers approached Dipke with claims that the school principal frequently consumed alcohol inside the educational institution. In response to the complaints raised by the residents, Dipke contacted the Block Development Officer (BDO). Following the intervention, a formal complaint was lodged, resulting in the suspension of the principal.
Following the action, Dipke took to his account on X (formerly Twitter) to express his happiness over the milestone. He dedicated the outcome to a local resident named Abdul and his father, quoting Abdul as saying that the campaign to fix the schools would not stop.
In his post, Dipke also extended his appreciation to the teachers and staff members of the village school for arranging benches for the students. He described the development as one of the biggest and happiest moments in his life, thanking the staff and local residents for making the improvements possible in the small town.
The visit in Limbala Makta forms part of the wider 'Improve Schools Campaign' (Thik Karo School), which was formally kicked off by the CJP on August 15, on the 80th Independence Day. The campaign is focused on touring rural areas and inspecting conditions in state-run schools.
Prior to Tuesday's inspection, Dipke visited government schools in his hometown of Hingoli on Saturday following the launch of the campaign. His review of the facilities revealed poor maintenance and severe infrastructural issues, including broken classroom windows covered with banners featuring Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, alongside inadequate bathroom facilities for students.
