Shiv Sena Launches Mission Gen Z Youth Outreach Campaign in Mumbai

The Shiv Sena launched an outreach initiative titled ‘Mission Gen Z’ in Mumbai on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, aimed at connecting the priorities of young citizens with governance and public policy.

The opening phase of the mission brought together a youth camp of public representatives. More than 250 young elected representatives, aged between 20 and 30 years and representing both urban and rural regions across the state, took part in the Mumbai gathering.

During the session, the representatives raised a wide range of civic, educational, and employment concerns. Key demands included the development of sports complexes and playgrounds, well-equipped libraries, and dedicated study spaces. Participants also sought expanded career guidance, employment support, dedicated job portals, and skill development centres.

Other issues highlighted by the representatives included a greater emphasis on youth festivals in colleges, de-addiction initiatives, self-defence training for women, and the introduction of foreign language training in rural Zilla Parishad schools. The attendees also emphasised the need for greater use of social media and modern technology to engage with young demographics.

The party stated that it plans to formulate a comprehensive strategy covering short-term, medium-term, and long-term engagement with Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and youth across the state, with tailored communication and solutions for different age groups.

Speaking at the event, Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde stated that the party is working to build a sustainable system to understand youth demands and convert their concerns into actionable policies through elected representatives.

Dr. Shinde added that the party aims to maintain an open dialogue to assess where government schemes stand and where improvements are needed. He noted that suggestions gathered from the young representatives will be formally submitted to the government for further action.
