Smoke in Mahalaxmi Express Near Karjat Sparks Panic, No Injuries Reported

Smoke was detected in one of the coaches of the Mumbai-bound Mahalaxmi Express in the Monkey Hill section near Karjat in Raigad district on Tuesday morning, briefly triggering panic among passengers.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred approximately 90 kilometres from Mumbai. Railway authorities quickly intervened and brought the situation under control.

According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), smoke was noticed rising from one of the train's coaches during the journey. Railway officials immediately inspected the affected compartment to resolve the issue and ensure passenger safety.
