Four pedestrians narrowly escaped severe injury after a speeding SUV allegedly came dangerously close to running them over near the JP Back Road area in Mira Road near Mumbai on Monday evening. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene immediately after the near-fatal incident.

The circulating video shows a white Mahindra XEV 9e suddenly speeding towards a group of four people who were standing along the roadside. The SUV appeared to pass just inches away from the pedestrians.

As the vehicle approached at high speed, one individual fell to the spot, while another was seen jumping into a roadside drain to avoid being struck. Two other individuals managed to step out of the way in time and were visibly shaken by the close call.
