Supriya Sule Urges Nitin Gadkari to Repair Pothole-Ridden Highway Stretch in Bhor

Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MP Supriya Sule on Monday raised concerns over road safety following the appearance of a large number of potholes along the Pandharpur-Mahad National Highway in Bhor taluka. Speaking out about the deteriorating infrastructure, Sule specifically pointed to the stretch running from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue Square to Rambaug Naka, describing the condition of the road as extremely deplorable.

In a post published on her X account, the MP emphasized that the stretch is considered one of the busiest routes in the area. She noted that several groups of daily road users, including local citizens, students, ambulance drivers, and other motorists, are currently facing significant hardship while attempting to navigate the damaged thoroughfare.

Sule further highlighted that traffic is getting continuously disrupted because of the widespread potholes, which have also heightened the overall risk of accidents along the highway. She added that complaints regarding the poor condition of the road in this specific area of Bhor taluka have been received continuously in the past as well, yet the problem remains unresolved.

Addressing the issue at the national level, Sule requested Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to look into the deteriorating road conditions along the highway. She urged the Union Minister to issue necessary instructions to the concerned department for the immediate repair of the stretch between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue Square and Rambaug Naka so that commuters can travel safely and smoothly.

Sule’s appeal comes amid broader concerns across Maharashtra, where several road-related incidents have been reported in recent months. Across the state, unresolved potholes and dug-up road stretches have reportedly contributed to an increase in vehicle accidents and caused persistent disruptions to vehicular movement.
