Thane Police Issue Traffic Advisory After Rain Waterlogs MM Valley-Green Park Route

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the Thane City Police issued an urgent travel advisory for local commuters after heavy rainfall caused severe waterlogging along the MM Valley-Green Park-Y Junction route in Thane. The police department officially requested that citizens avoid entering these waterlogged areas unless it is absolutely necessary, as the accumulation of water created major disruptions.

According to police officials, large volumes of water accumulated along the critical MM Valley-Green Park-Y Junction route, making it completely impassable for regular traffic. Because of this severe flooding, the road was closed to ensure the safety of the public and to prevent vehicles from getting stranded in the deep water.

The waterlogging caused major disruptions for commuters throughout the day on Wednesday. With the primary route blocked, citizens were forced to avoid the waterlogged areas entirely. The Thane City Police advised all motorists and commuters to utilize alternate routes to bypass the affected junction and reach their destinations safely.

The situation arose after heavy rainfall lashed parts of the Thane district in Maharashtra. The downpour led to rapid water accumulation on key roads, with the MM Valley-Green Park-Y Junction route being among the worst affected. The accumulation of water on this critical corridor disrupted the normal flow of traffic, leading to the emergency advisory.

As the water levels rose, the Thane City Police actively monitored the situation, warning commuters of the impassable conditions on the road. The authorities emphasized that traveling through the flooded MM Valley-Green Park-Y Junction area should be avoided to prevent further traffic gridlock and protect citizens from the hazards of waterlogged streets.

Commuters in Thane had to adjust their travel plans on Wednesday, steering clear of the waterlogged MM Valley-Green Park-Y Junction route and seeking alternative roads as directed by the police advisory.
