Vikram Bhatt's Haunted 3D Echoes Of The Past Slated For 2026 Release
The upcoming Hindi horror film 'Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past', associated with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, is scheduled for release in 2026. The film features a central character who flees Mumbai following a personal betrayal, setting off a supernatural chain of events at a remote estate.
The plot follows Devadutt Choudhary, also known as Dev, played by Mimoh Chakraborty. Dev is a reputed Mumbai-based filmmaker whose latest project, 'Laila Majnu', is on the verge of theatrical release. He is in a relationship with the film’s lead actress, Sonali, played by Aradhna. However, just days before the film's release, Dev discovers Sonali with the male lead of the movie.
Devastated by the revelation, Dev decides to leave Mumbai immediately without informing anyone. He is accompanied by his cousin, Titu, played by Gaurav Bajpai. The two travel extensively until they arrive at a quiet hill station named Maniktal. Seeking peace and isolation, Dev decides to find a local property to rent.
A local broker introduces Dev to the Maniktal Palace. Attracted to the estate, Dev agrees to rent the property and moves in with Titu. Upon arrival, the cousins notice unusual details about the architecture. The doors and windows of the palace's right wing are completely shut, whereas those in the left wing remain wide open.
The palace caretaker, Trilok, played by Hemant Pandey, informs the new tenants that the right wing has remained locked for decades. Trilok explains that the keys to this section of the palace have been missing for a long time.
On their first night at the palace, Dev is awakened by an eerie noise. Investigating the sound, he finds the doors to the forbidden right wing wide open. Upon entering, Dev encounters an evil spirit and a young woman named Sunheri, played by Chetna Pande. Dev witnesses the spirit harming Sunheri and becomes confused by her presence in a section of the palace that has been sealed for over a century. He soon realizes that Sunheri belongs to a completely different era.
The film, which is building anticipation with promotional updates ahead of its 2026 launch, marks another addition to the Hindi 3D horror genre.
