Western Railway Launches Free Onboard Magazine for Shatabdi Express Passengers

Western Railway has launched a new initiative to distribute a complimentary lifestyle magazine to passengers travelling on the Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express. The free magazine distribution service has been introduced on Train Nos. 12009 and 12010 under a three-year contract aimed at making train journeys more engaging and enhancing the overall onboard travel experience for commuters along the route.

The official launch of the magazine service was inaugurated by Tarun Jain, Principal Chief Commercial Manager of Western Railway. The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Shri Adish Pathania, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Mumbai Division.

According to railway officials, the publication has been introduced to provide passengers with useful, informative, and interesting reading material throughout their journey. The complimentary magazine will feature dedicated articles covering a wide spectrum of subjects, including lifestyle, travel, health, culture, entertainment, and tourism, designed to cater to a broad range of passengers travelling on the service.

Railway officials stated that the initiative is anticipated to make long-distance travel significantly more enjoyable for passengers. In addition to providing entertainment and reading material during travel, the magazine is intended to promote tourism and build greater awareness regarding various travel destinations and cultural experiences.

The introduction of the complimentary onboard magazine forms part of a broader set of passenger-friendly measures implemented by Western Railway in recent years to elevate the quality of rail travel. Passengers travelling on the premium Shatabdi Express between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad will receive the publication at no additional cost as part of this ongoing effort to upgrade passenger amenities.
