Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Her Bandra East Flat

A fire broke out at a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai during an election campaign, prompting actor Daisy Shah to criticize political campaigners for their lack of civic sense. The incident occurred at night near Shah's flat while she was walking her dogs in the vicinity of her residential building.
Following the outbreak of the fire, Shah shared a video of the scene on her Instagram account to highlight the safety hazards associated with the campaigning activities. In her post, the actor expressed strong outrage over the recklessness of the campaign teams and criticized their behavior.
Shah clarified her stance on political organizations, stating that she has no connection to any political party. However, she urged those running for office to ensure that the teams they hire to conduct campaigns possess basic common sense and act responsibly in public spaces.
In her social media post, Shah wrote: "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them. Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it. This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME."
According to Shah, the fire was allegedly caused by campaigners bursting crackers next to residential buildings. She condemned this practice, describing it as a dangerous and careless action that put lives at risk. Shah noted that the incident was not a natural calamity but was instead caused by the actions of irresponsible individuals.
The actor also shared that her residential building's committee had previously taken steps to prevent such disturbances. The committee had denied the election campaigners permission to enter the premises to conduct door-to-door campaigning. Shah praised this decision, stating that the committee's refusal of entry was fully justified in light of the fire incident.
She emphasized that bursting fireworks near residential complexes is highly inappropriate and urged campaign organizers to take responsibility for the actions of their teams.
