Vedang Raina Reveals Corporate Backup Plan Before Landing Role in 'The Archies'

Actor Vedang Raina, who has been operating out of Andheri, has revealed that he had a practical corporate backup plan in place before securing his breakthrough debut in the film 'The Archies'. The young actor disclosed that he was prepared to pursue a master's degree and gain corporate work experience had his acting aspirations not materialized in the film industry.
Raina made his official feature film debut in director Zoya Akhtar's Netflix musical 'The Archies'. Before landing this major breakthrough role, he had already begun preparing himself for an entirely different professional future, acknowledging that a successful career in the Indian film industry was never a guaranteed path for him.
Following his debut in the musical, Raina went on to star in the critically appreciated film 'Jigra'. He is currently gearing up for his next major big-screen project, a period romance titled 'Main Vaapas Aaunga', which is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, Raina stated that his life could have taken a completely different turn if he had not been selected for the Netflix musical. He explained that before his casting, he was very close to entering the corporate world to gain work experience and subsequently pursue higher education.
Despite his rising profile in Bollywood, the actor maintains that his career is still in its early stages. Speaking about his journey, Raina shared that he does not consider himself a big star yet and is only beginning to explore the various possibilities that the acting profession has to offer.
He expressed deep gratitude for his current opportunities, noting that being cast in an Imtiaz Ali film was something that was previously beyond his imagination. The actor emphasized that he feels privileged to even be a part of the upcoming project as he continues to establish his foothold in the industry.
