Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Breaks Out Near Her Bandra East Flat

A fire broke out in a residential house in Mumbai's Bandra East area, prompting actor Daisy Shah to lash out at election campaigners for their lack of civic responsibility. The incident occurred at night near the actor's apartment, while she was outside walking her dogs.

Following the incident, Shah took to social media to share a video of the scene and express her anger over the situation. The actor linked the outbreak of the fire to the activities of campaign teams who were operating in the neighborhood.

In a post shared on her Instagram account, Shah criticized the campaigners for bursting firecrackers in close proximity to residential buildings. She expressed relief that her building's committee had previously denied the campaign teams permission to conduct door-to-door visits, a choice she felt was validated by the dangerous turn of events.

In her public statement, Shah called on political entities to ensure their campaign teams exercise common sense and basic safety precautions. She wrote: "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them. Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door. Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it. This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME."

Shah strongly condemned the use of fireworks near residential complexes, characterizing the fire as an avoidable hazard caused by careless behavior rather than a natural accident. She urged those running the campaigns to take full accountability for the actions of their hired teams.
