FDA Suspends Licence of Marian Hotel & Restaurant in Dadar West

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food licence of Marian Hotel & Restaurant on Gokhale Road in Dadar West following the discovery of severe hygiene and safety violations during an inspection.

The regulatory action was taken after food safety officials uncovered multiple health hazards inside the establishment. Among the primary violations was an extensive cockroach infestation within the kitchen premises.

Inspectors also documented heavily rusted utensils being used in food preparation areas, raising serious concerns regarding food contamination and public health.

In addition, officials discovered cooked food items stored in unsafe conditions beneath damp staircases that were covered in fungal growth. A damaged wall with fungus was also identified near the active cooking area of the restaurant.

Due to these critical hygiene lapses and failure to adhere to prescribed food safety standards, the establishment's licence to operate was suspended by the FDA.
