Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests Six Including Three MPSC Officials Over Paper Leak

The Mumbai Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested six people, including three Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) officials, in connection with an alleged question paper leak in the 2026 Drug Inspector (Group-B) screening examination.
Among the arrested commission officials is an under secretary of the MPSC, police confirmed following the operation.
Following the discovery of the paper leak and the subsequent arrests, the MPSC cancelled the ongoing recruitment process for the Drug Inspector Group-B posts.
The commission announced that it will conduct a fresh examination for all eligible candidates who appeared for the screening test.
The investigation was carried out by officials of the Mumbai Crime Branch, who took the six accused into custody as part of the ongoing probe into how the examination material was compromised.
