The Raigad district administration on Wednesday urged tourists from the district who are stranded in Nepal due to severe flooding in the Bhotekoshi River to contact local disaster management authorities for assistance.

Flooding in Nepal’s Rasuwa district has disrupted normal life, leading authorities in Maharashtra to gather information about citizens and travellers affected by the disaster. The district administration has appealed directly to stranded tourists and their families, especially those who have lost contact with relatives, to reach out to the District Emergency Operations Centre at the Raigad Collectorate.

To facilitate rescue and coordination efforts, officials have asked families to provide essential details regarding the stranded individuals. These details include the person’s full name, mobile phone number, current location or hotel in Nepal, travel itinerary, and an active contact number for the family.

Authorities stated that gathering these specifics will enable officials to coordinate effectively and assist citizens impacted by the adverse weather conditions.
