Two Dead in Kurla West Landslide as Mayor Announces Rs 4 Lakh Aid for Victims

At least two people were killed and two others injured after a landslide struck Ashok Nagar, Hill No. 3, in Kurla West in the early hours of Wednesday, August 12.
A portion of soil and debris from the hillside collapsed onto two to three houses, causing casualties and property damage in the area.
Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde visited the site after receiving information about the incident and reviewed the ongoing rescue operations.
Following her review, Mayor Tawde announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh for the family of each person who died in the incident. She also announced that injured individuals will receive medical assistance of Rs 50,000 each towards their treatment expenses.
