Two Palghar College Staffers Suspended After Student Forced to Perform Namaz

A female student at a private medical college hostel in Posheri village of Wada taluka, Palghar district, was allegedly subjected to ragging and forced to perform namaz on Sunday night, sparking campus tension and leading to the suspension of two college staffers.
Following the incident, the college administration suspended a hostel warden and a teacher. The incident has triggered a ragging controversy, drawing protests from right-wing groups on the college campus.
In response to the growing tension and protests, police personnel were deployed to the campus to prevent any further disturbance. The police officially registered a First Information Report (FIR) on Monday night.
An investigation into the alleged ragging incident at the private medical college in Wada taluka is currently ongoing, with authorities monitoring the situation on campus.
