Daisy Shah Slams Election Campaigners After Fire Near Her Bandra East Flat

Actor Daisy Shah has publicly criticized election campaigners after a fire broke out at a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai. The incident, which occurred at night near Shah's residence while she was out walking her dogs, prompted the actor to call out the campaigners for their lack of civic responsibility and reckless behavior.

The fire reportedly broke out during an election campaign being conducted in the local neighborhood. Shah witnessed the incident firsthand and subsequently shared a video of the active scene on her Instagram account to highlight the severe safety hazards. In her social media post, she expressed strong disapproval of the campaign teams' actions, directly linking the outbreak of the fire to the bursting of firecrackers near residential structures.

Expressing her frustration, Shah stated on social media that she has no personal affiliation with any political party. However, she urged political entities to ensure that the teams they hire to run election campaigns possess basic common sense. She criticized the practice of bursting crackers close to residential buildings, describing it as an unacceptable and dangerous way to conduct a campaign.

Shah also shared that her building's committee had previously refused to grant the election campaigners permission to go door-to-door. Following the fire, the actor noted that she considers the committee's decision to deny them entry to be entirely justified. She praised the committee's foresight in preventing the campaigners from entering the residential premises, noting that their presence could have escalated the risk.

Condemning the incident, Shah characterized the fire as an artificial hazard caused by careless behavior rather than a natural calamity. She described those responsible as lacking civic sense and called on the campaign organizers to take immediate accountability for the safety risks they created. Shah concluded her statement by emphasizing that it is "high time" for such groups to be held responsible for the consequences of their actions.
