Minor Stabs Woman in Dahisar Over Marijuana Racket Dispute, Films Confession

A minor boy stabbed a woman repeatedly on Thursday night in Ganpat Patil Nagar in Dahisar, following alleged threats related to the exposure of an illegal marijuana cultivation operation, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 9 pm at Lane No. 4 of Ganpat Patil Nagar, an area falling under the jurisdiction of the Borivali MHB Police Station. The victim, identified as Suman Thakur, sustained life-threatening injuries in the attack and was seen covered in blood in the aftermath.
According to authorities, the stabbing took place just days after an illegal marijuana cultivation unit running inside a house was exposed. The minor had been linked to uncovering the illegal setup. Officials noted that Thakur had an alleged role in running the illicit narcotics business.
Following the bust, Thakur allegedly began harassing and threatening the teenager and his family members. The boy stated that the continuous intimidation led directly to the violent confrontation on Thursday.
Instead of running away from the scene after the attack, the accused teenager took out his camera and recorded a video confessing to the crime. In the footage, the boy explained the circumstances that led to the incident, expressing frustration over the lack of enforcement following their earlier complaints.
He stated that he and his family members had filed a formal complaint regarding people growing marijuana near a creek located near their house, but no action had been taken against the operators. After the unit came to light, Thakur allegedly came to their home and began threatening them directly.
In the confession video, the minor acknowledged the stabbing, stating that he did not know whether the woman was dead or alive but confirmed that he had attacked her with a knife.
Officers from the Borivali MHB Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted to the stabbing. Police have launched a full investigation into the case using the confession video and are examining all aspects of the matter, including attempted murder charges and the local marijuana smuggling network.
