Over 2.06 Crore Voters Excluded from Maharashtra Draft Electoral Roll

More than 2.06 crore electors have not been included in the draft electoral roll for Maharashtra following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), state election authorities announced on Monday.

The excluded electors account for 21.14 per cent of the state's previous voter base.

Following the Special Intensive Revision, the draft electoral roll currently contains more than 7.71 crore voters. This figure represents 78.86 per cent of Maharashtra's previous electorate, which stood at 9.78 crore.

According to state election authorities, the final electoral roll for Maharashtra is scheduled to be published on November 4.
