Over 47 Lakh Names Excluded from Draft Delhi Electoral Roll Under SIR

The draft Delhi electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was published on Monday, resulting in the exclusion of more than 47 lakh names from the existing list of 1.45 crore voters.

Following the publication of the draft roll, a month-long window for claims and objections opened on August 31. The period will remain active through September 30, providing an opportunity for eligible residents and voters whose names do not appear on the draft list to seek inclusion.

Authorities indicated that voters whose names are missing from the draft roll can file claims during this designated timeframe to have their details added.

The process will conclude later this year, with the final electoral roll scheduled to be officially published on November 4.
