Two Palghar college staffers suspended after student allegedly forced to perform namaz

An alleged ragging incident at a private medical college hostel in the locality of Posheri village, located within the Wada taluka of Maharashtra's Palghar district, has resulted in police action and the suspension of two college staffers. A female student at the institution was reportedly forced to perform namaz on Sunday night.

Following the incident, the college administration took immediate action against its personnel. The authorities suspended a hostel warden and a teacher who were associated with the private medical college.

The incident has sparked widespread tension across the college campus in Posheri village. It also drew protests from various right-wing groups who gathered to voice their concerns. To maintain law and order and prevent any potential disturbance on the campus, police personnel were deployed at the site.

The local police registered a First Information Report (FIR) on Monday night to initiate a formal investigation into the alleged ragging. Early findings are being examined by the police as they look into the allegations made by the student.

The private medical college, situated in Wada taluka, continues to remain under police watch to ensure peace is maintained among the students and staff members.
